Concho Hills is a small ranch located in the heart of New Mexico cattle country on the historic Magdalena Stock Driveway.
Nestled in a valley amongst the foot hills of the San Mateo Mountains at the edge of the San Augustin plains, the ranch is surrounded by BLM land and situated between two sections of national forest, offering almost 2 million acres of open access for one’s western riding and ranching experience.
The Magdalena area is one of the most historic areas of the State of New Mexico. From Paleo-Indians (8,000 B.C.) through the Spanish Conquest, the U.S.-Apache wars, to the home of the last cattle drive to a railroad head, the area is rich in our Western heritage.
Our unique location offers isolation (limited internet or cell phone coverage) from the city noise and lights offering a evening sky filled with stars and the campfire’s warm glow. We offer year around opportunities for horseback riding, ranching activities, abundant game viewing, and making friends. Although we believe in tradition and appreciate our western heritage, we will also cater to your conveniences, comfort, and privacy offering climate-controlled guestrooms and private bathrooms. So if you want to improve your riding skills, ranch, tour, or just relax, we are confident we can help make your vacation enjoyable, again and again.
